Catch up!

So it has been a little while! So much going on with School, Football, work, etc.

We have had a fantastic opportunity with my hubby an SRO at a Middle School now. We have been able to go watch 7th and 8th grade games. This has been really cool for the boys. When we weren't going to those games, we had Travis's practice and games.

He did soooo great this year in football. He just keeps learning and has done better each year. He has a real passion for football. Still too afraid to put him in tackle- so Flag is still the way of his football world. He is doing Great in school. I don't know if I posted this before, but he is in Quest program in school. It is the gifted/talented program. He gets to travel once a week to another school and meet with other kids from different schools for advance study and out of the box thinking. It is amazing the things he brings home around his growth and learning. He still is able to do his class make-up and stay on the A honor roll! WOW! He still wants to be a football player. I am trying to talk him into being a biologist- what he used to always say he wanted to be due to his love of the environment and animals. He has grown so much and his teacher just recently commented in a note home to state how much of a good student and hard worker he is! Praise the lord!!! He also has started doing Awana's with my Mom and Dad on Sunday nights- course both the boys are doing it!

Alex is Growing and developing Attitude- has to be Berto's because there is no way I am that stubborn. He is definitely in the I can do it and don't tell me how to do something phase of the 3's. It is so funny because he watches Kai Lan on PBS and he has learned when he gets mad to sway side to side and breath. He does that alot! So cute though, he has the best hugs and kisses and can have a real conversation with you. He enjoys helping me cook and just loves to be apart of everything! He has "ideas"! Always coming to me with, "I have an idea". He tells everyone when asked what his age is, "I am 8". This is only because his brother is 8 and copies/follows him around- EVERYWHERE!!! Drives Travis CRAZY!!! We started giving Travis "alone" time so he can do things (reading/playstation) without his brother talking to him.

Most of you know Berto and I love to talk- So you know what that means! Our kids love to talk. It is hard to get a word in at our house.

Berto and I- not much. Berto loves his school. He calls them "his kids"! The teachers and staff just love him and enjoy his energy and enthusiasm to make these kids more than they are! I know every time I go up to see him for lunch or take the kids to games they make a Bee line to me and tell me how much they enjoy him at their school. Tear! He cares and puts himself into their lives to create accountability and respect. It is amazing to see. He hopes to create a group "BAT (Bison Action Team)" in his school for troubled, border line kids to do community work and be involved more in the school.
I am just working, working, working. My Bank has bought 2 banks- oh wait- combined with 2 other banks and my job has taken me out of town and into reading, reading, reading. It is amazing the time and energy to read and combine best practices and policies to make a better bank for customers. I am very fortunate to be involved, meet and work with future colleagues of mine. For the next 9 months it will be a world wind I am sure. Looking forward to the growth!

So some recent events:

Halloween-

Dinner Conversation- My youngest got done eating dinner first one night. He commented he was growing and a big boy for eating all his food first. Then turned to his older brother and declared "My pee-pee is longer than yours". LOL!!! Responses. Travis in a stern, defensive voice "No it is not!" Berto reacted with "Give me a High Five." I just laughed...

Travis PTA Recital playing the Xylophone-

Saddest news is that we lost Lobo. Not in the way you think! He ran from out of our gate and we have not been able to find him. This just happened on 11.13.09! Still hope!
