Christmas Early

Well, we had Christmas real early this year at my mom and dad's house. We went over to their house on Saturday and my Brother, Sister-n-law and niece and nephews came up early so we could do it all together. We got over there around lunch and had lunch with them and then went to love and war in Texas for dinner. Yum-Yum. The kids had a great time because the restaurant could not sit us due to all the HOliday party reservation, so we got to go to the outside party deck. Which if any of you know here is TX on Saturday, IT WAS COLD! The nice thing was it had a stage and everything was closed like a garage and was nice. Towards end of dinner they started opening all the doors and put heaters on for the outside party they were getting ready for. We ate and were done, but not before the kids Rocked out on stage.

Then we went back for the ripping and tearing of boxes. Then it was the weaping and crying as we turned on the TV to watch some Football. Here are some pics.

Thanksgiving 2008

Okay, I am going to try and get caught up this week! Happy Belated Thanksgiving! I hope everyone spent the day with their families like our family did! We first went to my Aunt and Uncles and spent time with my Dad's brothers and families and also my Mom and Granny-Granny! I got the pleasure of making a Cake- a Turkey Cake! After that, and before Cowboy game, we went to Berto's Mom and Dad's house with Berto's brother and Cousin and their families. What a wonderful day to reflect on the things that make life so amazing and the experiences in the valleys to give such awesome mountain top feelings! I hope that each of your Thanksgivings you took some time to thank the people that brought things to your life that helped you grow and showed you love. I also hope that each of you know the Love that only God can provide in your life on a daily, hourly, minute, second basis- His only Son and the sacrifice he made to die on the cross for all of mans sins.

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!

Toothless Wonder

Our oldest child lost 2 bottom teeth today! Yeah- 2! I got a call a little after 12 by the school nurse to tell me that he was at P.E. and tripped and when he hit the ground both loose bottom teeth came flying out. I guess he was excited because the nurse gave him a tooth necklace to wear the rest of the day with his teeth in it. The nurse just called to let me know so I would not be surprised when I picked him up. He still at this hour can't really explain what happened, other than he tripped getting a game piece and fell. ??????

Halloween!

We started out around the neighbor with the neighbors about 6:45. It took us about 30 minutes to get everyone together and dressed and then we hit the houses. I guess this year since Halloween was on a Friday, everyone decided to go to parties or church functions. Not to many lights on. That was fine by me though- Less candy the better! So we did our trick or treating up until about 8:30 and then went to show off our costumes at both grand parents houses. Here are the pics from the night!

Packed Weekend

Well, Saturday was the last Flag Football game of the season! Travis had a total of 5 touchdowns, 1 interception, lots of pulled flags and some amazing fake reverses where he put all his face into it. It was the funniest thing ever. He won the academy award in doing a fake reverse. What an awesome time and some amazing coaches we had. Sunday was a birthday party that we were to come dressed in Halloween attire. Well, I forgot my camera. Hopefully the host can email me some of the pictures when she gets the chance. Travis was a Ninja, Alex a pirate and Yes, I was a Pumpkin. I was the Only Adult who came dressed. What is wrong with this world? We act like adults all day, every day and this was one of the few times you could be 6 again! I had Fun and the boys did too. Berto just shook his head and laughed. I had several adoring kids hug on me and want to lay on my pillow stuffed belly. Good Times!
Tuesday night was Awards Banquet for Flag Football and an amazing juggler was there and shared Christ and what it means to know him personally. It was awesome to have both sets of Grand Parents to share in this amazing time for Travis. He just loves football and the opportunity to play and share his success with the people he loves- I just hope he remembers when he is 30!
