Last Game and awards night!

Saturday was the last Flag Football game of the Year! Here are some pics!

Sunday my aunt (My mom's sister-Nancy) came in from Houston for the week for work! We had a great time Sunday hanging out and spending time together!

Monday- AWARDS NIGHT! TRAVIS VERY FIRST TROPHY!!!!! Was very neat- Our first time for one of these! Each team got to go up on stage and yell in the church! Then they had a Christian Magician Show! BJ Harris! He spoke and did magic tricks to teach the kids (visually)- BY FAITH and NOT BY SIGHT! 2 Corinthians 5:7- For we walk by faith, not by sight. He also shared with everyone in the room how to become a Christian and to KNOW GOD! Was awesome!

The Week In Review 10-21 to 10-28

Well, Sunday was a HO-Hum day and we relaxed! Some more than others! Berto and I had this "conversation" this weekend about naps! He stated "I never take naps!" So below is my proof! He even got Travis in on it....
Travis is getting so BIG!!!! He has decided he wants to listen to his music in the car! His music is a CD from church that has all the songs they sing. He has repeatedly asked for an IPOD already, but we decided to go somewhat -old school with him and gave him our old CD player! It stays in my car and since he does so well at reading now, he also always has a Jack and Annie book so he can read.

Alex just follows Travis around now! Well, I let Travis eat in his room Wednesday night....Of course, you guessed it! Alex had to eat there too! My fault, I took the blame for this one! Travis was so mad that Alex got Mac and Cheese all over his bed! I just started laughing and then after some pictures and me laughing, Travis finally started laughing! Of Course, I then had to Wash sheets!

Thursday night was Travis's last night of Flag Football practice! Well, it was a Pizza Party with his friends!!! It was GREAT! Travis proclaimed that he eat 5 pieces of Pizza! It was so awesome, because the coaches went around the room and told each child a personality characteristic, not just football things they learned! Travis's was determination and then the coaches said that he aways took off running with everything he has! The kids then went around the room and told something they learned. Well, the coaches were looking for fellowship and Godly behaviors when playing sports, etc. The funniest was a lilttle boy whom proclaimed- I know everything! Ha! Ha! Travis stated that he learned running takes a lot of energy!

Field Trip Friday to Petting Zoo

Took the day off Friday for some fun with Travis at School! Here is the fun!

You could milk cows here, but Travis didn't want to do that, so he found a cow that looked pretty in the face and wanted a picture!

Waiting for the Farmer to talk to us and for the Pig races! Our Pig "Hersey" won!!!

Turkey's were a little hard to pet! They kept far from us! He did get to pet the goats, sheep, horses, ducks and cows!

Going into pick our pumpkin before we left!

Picking it!

Mama Bear Vs. Baby Bear

Well, Thursday night was a treat! The Mama's got to show our football skills off against our sons! What a time! I do have to say it was ALL of them against 7 of us moms! They were holding and block chopping and offsiding and whatever other penalties you can come up with! Oh, wait, maybe that was us? We had such a fun time! It was GREAT! Some pics of Travis and I! SIC' EM BEARS!

Okay had to put this in! You would never believe me if I told you Alex's hair was long, but maybe now you can believe! Not real thick, but long!

UPDATE!!! Alex is doing so much better! His blood is still low, but is improving and we got to pull him off all the iron for now! Slow coming, but is so much better! His tummy is still hurting, but we took him to a G.I. specialist Thursday and really think his tummy is sensitive from the iron and allergies! So we are just going to let him heal a little and see if everything can correct itself! He is sleeping through the night again and eating well! Just had to put this in for laughs!!!!

Lost and Found!

I almost forgot to let everyone know, Lobo came home Friday! A sweet family found him Thursday! They first called the vet with his tag number and she guesses she read the number wrong so it came back to a cocker spaniel. So they got their house ready to keep him with their border collie and then she thought maybe the tags were switched with another dog in the family he belonged too. So she called back and read the number again and got us! The vet called and we went Friday morning to get him! They treated him Great!!!!

OH, Also...if you go to www.mesquiteisd.org/pirrung- Travis is on the front page getting touched by the tooth fairies big toothbrush!!! I guess this means he will never have a cavity!!! There is always hope!!!!

Sweat and Tears

Well, another big week! Alex's tummy is still bothering him! Got a call Thursday afternoon that the second half of his blood showed his iron test was really high....so the Dr. asked us not to give him anymore iron. We still are clueless, they just keep stating it is the TEC and it is okay to pull him off the iron. Then made a call to his pediatrician who come to find out is on vacation and the nurse told us that the Specialist Dr. he is seeing his Fantastic, but she will tell the pediatrician all info I called and she will have her call me Monday. Have another blood test for him scheduled on Tuesday...will let everyone know! This is were the tears come in...it is very hard to see Alex hurting as much as he is hurting and we can only give him ibuprofen every 6 hours! Still sleepless!!!! Some pics of good moments when he isn't hurting and grabbing his tummy.

The SWEAT! Berto's Deck! It is all done, well except for the railings and cosmetics...IT LOOKS GREAT! Here it is! I will rent him for the hour at $50 an hour if anyone else needs a deck- materials not included! Thanks to all those who helped to finish the product, don't have a picture of all, but those who helped - our neighbors- Bryan ( we'll give your saw back eventually) and Terry ( smart enough to take his tools home), our friend-Gary( my best friend for a reason), Berto's Cousin- Melvin( the measurement man Hernandez), Berto's Dad- Joe(I bet his back still hurts irizarry, Teresa's Dad,-Terry(who's pick up could have been in a ford commercial, I bet he had never put as much weight as I put on there but it's ford tough!!!!!!!) and the best screw hander in the world- TRAVIS!(that's my boy Irizarry)

Another fun week for Football! Practice got dark quick so next week practices are moved up 30 minutes! Travis got best offense this week!

Tough Monday Night and Tuesday Morning

Well, Monday night did not turn out! Berto was so excited all Monday because he took a half day to work on our Deck he is building from scratch! DOING AN AWESOME JOB! He had a couple of guys from the neighborhood (Bryan and Terry) help him on Monday afternoon with tools and sweat! Well amonst this glorious deck, Lobo got out from the gate being open! He is gone! Last time he got out, we found him after a week! So we have hope and he had his vet tags on and if someone turns him in, will call us! Travis was so sad! He cried for a bit and then asked if he could have another Hermit Crab. Alex just points outside and says Lobo...keep your fingers crossed we get a call!

So Lobo leaves and then a Dr. Appt at 8:30 Tuesday morning ended up being an all day event! We got to Dr. Lenarsky's office and they pulled blood again with same numbers as last week! Since his tommy is still hurting they then sent me to Ultrasound just to make sure!!! They looked Great, so, ran more blood numbers and this is what they have told me! I also called his pediatrition to see if this would be her opinion too, but she stated it should not have anything to do with his tummy pains- unless his stomach is so sensitive! She told me to wait a week with the treatment for his stomach (Stool softner due to all the iron he is taking to regulate him- 2 Teaspoons a day) Maybe this from the internet will better explain! Key word in the diagnosis is Transient- meaning Lasting only for a short time (dictonary version). Short time meaning up to 90 days!
Less common form of anemia resulting in absence of red cell precursors in the bone marrow is transient erythroblastopenia of childhood (TEC). This is a slowly developing anemia of early childhood (usually 18-26 months old) characterized by gradual onset of pallor. As the name suggests, all patients with TEC recover completely without any treatment and with no sequelae. The cause is unknown, although researchers have proposed a number of viral and immunologic mechanisms.

Praise God, but will be a rough couple of months! Continue to Pray! Berto and I have not slept for 4 weeks now! Alex continuely gets up crying Ow-Ow-Ow on his tummy! Just can't get through the night yet.

Long sleepness Nights

Last week was packed with Kleenex's and Medicine! Monday afternoon had to take both kids in! Travis had a cough that would not go away- diagnosis- ear infection and cold. Alex has been holding his tummy and saying- Ow, ow, ow. His blood didn't come back good- his Hemoglobin was low! So then we headed to his hemotoligist (been seeing him since April) to get him checked! We have been told he has Anemia, but this past week his Iron was good and his hemoglobin is low. So pray for us tomorrow as we go in and re-test!

Wednesday was Toys R Us Day! Travis got a gift card for his birthday and we finally got to use it! He stayed within budget and picked 3 toys with some money left! 2 Football player figurines and a Book! He has always loved Jack and Annie books and got one at Toys R Us.

Travis had a fantastic Saturday game!!!! He scored his first Flag Football Touchdown!!! It was so Awesome- he even jumped over a kid that dived to get his flag! It was great!!!

The week finished off with a Saturday Spend the night at Papaw and Grandma's. The next morning he did something he has never done! BOWLING!!!! When we went to pick him up, he stated "I beat Papaw and Grandma once and then Papaw beat us". I know what you are thinking...yes bumpers were involved, but papaw bragged to me that 2 out of his 3 X's (strikes) where done on his own and were straight up the middle. Future pro-bowler on our hands????? Football too????

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEEK! Sorry, forgot to take my camara out all week!
