Touchdown

Well, Travis Irizarry officially scored his 2nd Touchdown ever in a game! Last year he had one and now comes 2! He ran it in from a handoff for about 50 yards! It was fantastic. This weeks game he was also the quarterback for quite a while. He did a couple of passes and everything. We were happy to have Papaw, Grandma, Uncle Kevin, Cousins Cade, Hutton and Callie watch this TD run also! Kevin and Anitra came in with the kids because they still don't have power in Huntsville, so they took a road trip towards Garland to get out and about for the weekend. Travis and Cade got to spend some quality time Saturday because he spent the night with Travis. Good Times!
Hope everyone has a GREAT WEEK!
They had team pictures before game- here is Gentry, Landry, Travis and Alex at the church playing a dirt bike game.

Football Season

Well, this weekend was the start to the new football season for Travis. His team this year is the Dawgs! They did well Saturday...since we don't keep score...they had more conversions than the other team! GO DAWGS! Travis invited his friend Gentry to play with him and he scored Saturday on a reverse with Travis! It was so cool. We called them the Reverse Kings!

Then later that night Berto and I attended a benefit for DOTS. It is an organization that helps families of terminally ill family members, young or old, to help pay for medical, housing, etc. Wells Fargo Donates and I had the privilege to attend this amazing group of people. I actually was invited by the Branch I support who works with this organization. Was very cool to see all these people giving up money in this time and age when people are struggling to make ends meet. It makes you realize that even though times are hard, there are people in the world that fall on much harder times than yourself! God gives so that we have the opportunity to give.
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38
