7 year old in the house

Seems like yesterday- August 23, 2001 a new life entered the world. Travis Zacharry Irizarry! 7 years ago, Berto and I began to experience the "parent" life. It has been quite a fun, learning experience. Full of every emotion known to man or woman! So we helped celebrate that on Saturday. I just have to write about my young man. He is a GREAT KID! I am just so proud to be his mother! He is strong willed (good and bad- that learning experience I referred to above), sweet, giving, passionate about his interests and a little OCD (good and bad experience also- gets that from me). It is just amazing how God gave me this wonderful life to grow in his way! Thank you God for Travis Zacharry Irizarry!

2nd week of Vacation!

Going to the Lodge...Great Wolf Lodge!

Well our first time! The amazing Great Wolf Lodge. We had so much fun. We got in on Tuesday! 3 days of Swimming and MagicQuest. I need another week to rest. The boys just loved it! It was perfect for their age. Great indoor pool and outdoor pool for just their ages and size. No pool was over 5 ft deep! The slides were made for family riding on tubes and the single rider ones Travis could do by himself and were not bad at all!
Tuesday- spent the day at the water park. Later that night we bought the "wand". The Magicquest, Magi Wand. Travis and Alex are now Magi's. We started our quest to be Master Magi's. I am telling you...if any of you go and do this...Talk to me first. The first day was, well, Crazy with this. They send you to this "training" video that was not so helpful, but with a few questions asked by me to some 13 year old kids..we were off and running. We accomplished 3 quests on Day 1 and received 3 Runes.
Wednesday- Water park, rest, MagicQuest, Water park. Finally talked Travis into the big slides on a double tube. Alex was in "his" pool. That is what he called where he knew he could roam without holding my hand. 5 quests accomplished with 5 more runes.
Thursday- Water park, rest, MagicQuest, Water park, Grandma and Papaw. 3 final quests with 3 more runes. We finished All the Quests. Onto the Adventures (3 total). We did one Adventure Quest before Grandma and Papaw came to see us so we could have one under our belts. They got in about 6:30 and we took them around to see the Lodge and then we ate at the Loose Moose Buffet. After we took them on an adventure with the Magic Wand! Alex kept going to things saying "Open Sesame". He enjoyed it, but Travis wanted to be the one to show everything and got a little jealous when Alex got the wand. They then came up to our room and saw our Kid Cabin.
Friday- One Last Adventure and we were done with MagicQuest! That is one wild time! I am telling anyone who wants to do the MagicQuest that is reading this...I will give you some quick tips and guides...you will need them!

We had a fantastic time and could of done the water park again all day today, but we were done. The boys were too!

1st week of Vacation

We Started the week Swimming at Grandma, Papaw and Granny-Granny's house.
Next was rest and cleaning house until Daddy got off. I was off starting Monday, but Berto could not get off until Wednesday. SO, Wednesday we got all the cars ready with oil changes, cleanings and we took the boys to IHOP. Travis's favorite breakfast place. He loves the Pancakes, Eggs and Bacon there.
House fun.

Sears Trip

Thursday was SIX FLAGS. Was the coolest day of the week according to the forecast. Was still close to 100, but was under! Travis experienced his FIRST real roller coaster! He rode the Tony Hawk Big Spin. Where you sit on this roller coaster the whole squared box spins the whole time while you are racing! Berto and I were shocked he wanted to do it! Think it had something to do with the name since he loves Skateboarding! It was way worse than the Judge Roy Scream! TRAVIS LOVED IT!

The Super Heroes have left the building!

Alex's Friend

I could not resist this camera opportunity! Finley is our neighbor a few doors down and her older brother is friends with Travis and Travis went to Gentry's and Finley came to play with Alex.
Here they are reading books to each other.

Here is when they laid down to watch Finding Nemo.

Here is the "let me take your picture" picture.

God's Promise

WOW! What an amazing site as I pulled out of the garage to go to the grocery store last night! I immediately got on the phone to tell Berto to bring the kids outside. A RAINBOW! One of God's Promises before my very eyes!
God promised that He would never again destroy the earth by flood. "I do set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth... .. the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh." Gen 9: 13,15
Pretty cool! He still reveals his promises in the same days as Noah! It amazes me! I stand in Awe. I will sing of his Love Forever!
