Easter 2008

Well, we headed out to both families! The day involved Paint, Eggs, Chocolate and Food! Here are the pics! I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter.
Philippians 3:10-12
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Last of Branson!

Okay so after the full Wednesday and Alex's Birthday, We went to Silver Dollar City! I made a big boo-boo and forgot the camera that day! So our journey started as a anticipated 20 minute drive. Well, it turned into 2 hours. You see it was the opening day of Silver Dollar City for the year and everyone decided that was the place they all should be on that day too. So I would suggest to anyone that goes to Branson on Spring Break in the future, to schedule Silver Dollar City couple days after opening day. It was nice for the kids- was not quite what I remembered when I went about 20 years ago! It is a nice place for the kids to roam and play in the big tree houses and the huge ball maze place! That night we got back-park closed at 6- and rested a bit and went to eat at Berto's favorite place their! Cakes-N-Creams! It is an old fashioned soda shop that had hamburgers, pizza, frito pie, etc. Oh and as the title suggests- lots of ooh-wee, goo-wee desserts! What a time we had hospital and all! Here are few pictures that I failed to put in the previous!
Near the Fish Hatchery, it rained so bad while we were there, they opened the Dam. It had not been opened in over 20 years!

We saw a friend from Texas that lives in Branson and has a show- Red, Hot and Blue! We were fortunate to get to see him perform and it was AWESOME! Yeah Jeremy Rabe!

Branson- Part 2

Continued...Monday...St. Patrick's Day and a visit to the World's Largest Toy Museum!

Ripley's believe it or not and the world's largest man! I believe my children will almost be that tall when they are grown!

Then we went to the Fish Hatchery of Branson. Trout, Trout and more Trout!

The next day, Tuesday, we spent at the Hospital with double ear infections for Alex! We planned to go see the Presley Celebration that night, so Travis and I went while Berto and Alex rested! RAINED LIKE CRAZY - ALL DAY ON TUESDAY! I heard TX was the same way that day! I guess we didn't escape it!

Vacation- Branson, MO- Part 1

We started out at 10:30 Friday the 14th! Berto started the driving while I slept a few! Then at 2:30 I drove and Berto slept. We got in about 6:30 and we both got to sleep a few. We started Saturday with swimming and checking out the town. The week was filled with shows, attractions, fun, hospital visit and a birthday. The week was packed-a little of everything! Here are some pics. Oh---and the pictures with other people are not strangers! Berto's brother invited us to go on vacation with them and the Kids had a BLAST! So it is Tony, Stephanie, Rebekah, Rachel and Ruth!

Swimming- don't be afraid- it was an inside pool!

After Swimming- Bass Pro Shop at the outside Mall in Historic Branson! We looked around and listened to a band while the kids played on the outside park they had in the middle of the Mall.

Okay this was only day 2 (Sunday) so...I will continue this blog later! The Butterfly Palace and Mirror Maze! We also saw in the morning the Amazing Pet show- could not take pictures in that show!

Hard to see in this shot, but butterfly on Berto's sleeve- it is mixing in with Alex's clothes.

DATE NIGHT

Well, it took me a while to find exactly what to wear! I went through several outfits. I did my hair and pulled out all the make-up. I brushed my teeth extra shiny! The time had arrived- My First Official Date with my Oldest son Travis! It was a Luau at the Mesquite Rec Center. Alex and Berto stayed home watching Cars, while Travis and I hit the town! The day started off with snow also! Unique March in Texas!
