One, Two, Three...

Well, the week started Sunday with a little wrestling with Papaw by the boys and the weekly game that Travis talks Grandma into playing...Monopoly! You see he loves to play with Grandma because she doesn't mind him, for lack of a better word, cheat! All in good fun, but he always seems to win and have the most money!

Monday was Grocery store day...I never take the kids, but Berto worked late, so the boys went with! As you can see below...they suckered me into some cupcakes! Travis and Alex ate away after dinner! Travis was nice and clean, Alex....

Friday night Berto worked at Williams Stadium in Garland for High School Football! His job was making sure no one who was not on the team was in the locker rooms! So we decided to go see Naaman Forest against Sachse (our 17 yr old nephew goes to Sachse). Travis was so excited and just could not contain himself...the WHOLE game! It was so hard to make him sit still and not repeat every play that just happened in vivid detail (one of his gifts- detail conversation about football plays). Grandma and Granny-Granny kept Alex!

Saturday- Travis's game! Another exciting game of under 8 yr old players! Travis got the band he has wanted since he began! Drum Roll please.......BEST DEFENSE! He pulled him some flags this week and did an awesome job of keeping his hands in front of him to block! We also would of had half a blecher filled for his fans if we didn't have our own chairs! Of course Grandma, Papaw and Granny-Granny (Regulars), but our friends Bryan, Debra and Kaitlyn came too!

Early Saturday...

Well after the busy week, we rested Friday night! Berto's Weekend to work and put bad guys away, so Friday me and the boys stayed in a rested for our early start on Saturday! Usually Travis gets to stay up on Fridays and Saturdays until 10:00 or so, but not this Friday! We started at 6:00 getting ready to get to the Church to get pictures made and then to the game! We made it and the person taking the picture showed me how good he looked and even commented on how photogenic Travis was! What a great game! Week by week they realize what they are doing and have really improved on their skills as 6 year old Football players! Travis got the Best Effort band this week! It was really exciting explaining to him what this meant! We told him that every time he got to play he tried his hardest to get the flag on defense (even when he didn't) and ran his hardest when he got to run the ball as a running back! Here are some pics!
Waiting to get Travis's pictures made..

Travis as a running back in the game!

Travis has decided IHOP is the best place ever and asks to go there almost daily now! So here is us after the game at IHOP!

After we got home from IHOP we had a Birthday party to go to for one of Travis's Friends- Gentry! We ended up being there the rest of the day because Berto went to work after the football game. Gentry is beside Travis and is wearing the ROMO jersey. Here is a picture of all the kids!

Cute Picture! Alex!

Orlando's Visit, Rachel's B-Day

What a Week!!!! Berto's middle brother, Orlando, came in town from Virginia this week! Along with that was Rachel's birthday- Travis and Alex's cousin! So we had something going every night this week. Orlando flew in on Tuesday and everyone headed to Papa Joe and Tata's house to see Orlando and to celebrate Rachel's birthday! We did BBQ and Pink and orange cup cakes! Here is a few Pics from that!

All the Big Boys together! From left to Right: Melvin, Orlando, Alberto and Tony!

Next night was Crab night!!! Berto and his brother went to an Asian Market and got live crabs for us to cook at my house! Yeah I have had candles and good smelling airspray going 24-7 since....

This picture is a salute to Orlando! If some of you do not know, he is in the US Navy and will be going to Iraq next month! He has been in Virginia since last year completing a full year of combat training in preparation for his departure! He came this week to get some time in with his mom, dad, brothers, oldest son, nieces and nephews! We as a family know that God is and will be with him to guide him in his way and be by his side!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to get this one in for Berto~ his toy!!!!

Are You Ready for some Football

Week 2 of Travis Football! Travis this week got Most Improved Arm band! He was so excited! He did get hurt in the game this week- Elbow in the eye when about 4 kids on his team tried to grab the same flag at the same time! You know how that ended- thought it was tackle football for a minute! Travis Playing- we got smart this week and took the video camara-so got a lot of good things on that, but don't know how to put them in here? !@#$? Travis did have another run for a 1st down- Right up the middle! Here is a few Pics-

We also have had a sleepless week, we believe Alex is cutting his last 4 teeth! Ran a little fever and just seems to be hurting! Today, he has felt pretty good though! He is using his finger as a teether because we noticed his left had index finger he is chewing it and has rubbed a blister on it- OUCH! We'll see how this week goes!

Year in Review...to get some of you caught up.

Started the year in Disney with my Mom, Dad, Brother's Fam and the Irizarry's. In other words, Berto was an Edney for the Week!

Stuff in between, but the biggest event since Disney was Alex's First B-Day! WOW, March 19, 2006 he started announcing himself to the world and has not stopped since! The First Year came and went so fast. Seems like this year went alot faster then when Travis had his first year, but I guess with 2 kids it does.

Next came Travis's last Day of Kindergarten! Did that go fast or what? He did so GREAT in School! He loved it and could not wait until 1st Grade. This was his class and teacher.

Vacation week in June! We took a week off and took the kids to Six Flags, Ft Worth Zoo and swimming at Papaw and Grandma's.

Next, was a new Cousin! My Brother, Sister N Law, Cade, Hutton and Callie welcomed Toben! Travis has told everyone and even first week of school talked about and wrote about Toben and the fact that he has 10 Cousins now!!! 4 from my Brother, 3 from Berto's oldest brother and 3 from his middle brother!

Then came Travis's 6th B-day followed by the first day of School! 1st Grade...

Pressure

The Pressure of today...Everyone is on My Space or Blogging! I keep pushing it off and pushing it off, but I have given in. So this will be my attempt at "Blogging" until I get the hang of it. I know what you are thinking...I am way to young to not know this, but I am not that young now days...

Travis had his first Football Game on Saturday! What an Experience and he got the Sportsmanship Award for the game this week! YEAH TRAVIS!!! Here is a little Pic.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEEK!!!

Little Quote from the book I am reading by Ed Young from Eleanor Roosevelt- Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product. WOW!!!
