WOW- CHRISTMAS

What a Week! Friday night started out with the whole Edney Crew! My Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and of course my immediate family! We went to my moms and dads house- they hosted everyone! Ya...Crazy! There were exactly 57 people there (My mom and dad counted for me)! Santa came to visit us!


Next was the immediate family Christmas with my Grandma, Papaw, Granny-Granny and my brothers family! What a Saturday! All the kids played so hard! We did not do the traditional Christmas meal! Berto got to eat his favorite- May China! We got to spend Sunday with everyone again due to Kevin, Anitra, Cade, Hutton, Callie and Toben staying until Sunday late! That traditional meal for the day was Braum's!



My mom and dad bought sparklers for us to do! It was great!!! So much fun! Alex's first time to do one!

Monday was Berto's Family! Tata, Papa Joe and Berto's Brothers family and his Cousin Melvin and his family. Nery cooked a great homemade Lasagna! Of course she also made Berto's favorite potato salad! It was so awesome- Orlando called us! It was great to hear his voice! It was Christmas for him- 5:40 in the morning! He was about to go out! Continue to think of him and that God's Angels surround and protect him!

Christmas Day- God's gift to all! Jesus Birth! I sit and think of how amazing this is! This day represents our way into life everlasting with God! My wish for everyone going into this new year is that whomever reads my words knows this to be the truth, the way and the life (John 14:6)! Also that God encourages you to live each day with that in your heart and it brings you closer to him daily! God Bless to each of you and Hope your Christmas was Phenomenal!

Let the Party's begin!

What a world wind the last couple of weeks! First it was my Job's Christmas Party! Then it was Berto's! Berto actually had 2! One was Last Friday and the other Saturday Night! Friday was at his LT's house with all the family, then Saturday was Casino night for the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police)! The boys got to spend that night at Grandma and Papaw's house! Then we had our first official open present time last night when our Best Friends came over! Paul, Uyen, Lauren and Hayden came over and Uyen made her Orange Chicken with Fried Rice! THANK YOU UYEN! The kids had a great time! Think the big boys did too!


Almost forgot! Our Christmas Lights Berto put up! THANK YOU BERTO!!!!

Tio Orlando

Well, Berto's brother has been in Iraq almost 3 months now and he recently sent pictures! Please continue to lift him up in Pray for his safe return!

Pride

Well, what a week! Berto took December off, so Alex and him sleep in every morning! I have had the pleasure of taking Travis to school each morning! It is just amazing to me that as we walk the halls teachers from 5th grade down know my sons name! Every time I work at one of my banks beside the school, I also go to lunch with Travis! It just happen to fall on Wednesday! So I am in line and the Principle was at the check out stand! She just keep smiling at me when I looked her way and then finally she stated who are you here for? I stated "this one" and put my hand on Travis's head! She smiled so big and said "Travis"? I proudly said yes! She then proceeded to tell me about how great of a child he is and that she absolutely loves him! Well, then Friday morning the Assistant Principle was outside greeting kids and when we jumped out of the car and went to the door he said "Good Morning, Travis". I smiled at him and he then told me not to worry about him knowing his name because it was not the bad kind but the good one. He then said that he was a polite and kind boy! Talking about making my week complete! Only God knows that I pray daily that both my boys have a character that people see: Kindness, Humility, Teachability, Forgiveness, Obedience, Discernment, Purity, Responsibility, Courage, Servanthood, Contentment and Endurance (Great Book of pray called-- While they were sleeping by Anne Arkins & Gary Harrell---Thank you Mom for buying for me). Some I pray a little more than others! God shows me the answered Prays- Daily!

Fun and Adios

Well, we said goodbye to Berto's Tio on Sunday! His Tio Manuel left on Monday night back to Puerto Rico! He has been here for the last 3 weeks to see his immediate family (Melvin, Ibis and Marco) and then us Irizarry's! We hope and Pray he had a Great time and he will be missed until we see him again on our next trip to Puerto Rico! Here is some fun!
Day started with a trip to Sonic and then fun with Boys at the Park!


SOOOO, beautiful! We had to take the jeep out- December - CRAZY!!! TOP DOWN! :<)!




Next was My dad's house for a bit! They were putting lights up!

Finally, the party to celebrate the time Manuel was here at Berto's Parent's house!

2ND 6 WEEKS OVER

Travis got his report card today!!!!! ALL A's and lowest scoring grade was 98! They do this cool thing in Mesquite to encourage good behavior, conduct, grades, community involvement, attendance, etc by giving dog tags to the kids and they have dog tag wearing days! The dog tags describe the character trait and are very colorful! He has 10! It is so neat to see him light up when he comes home and tells us he has another dog tag!!!

DISNEY ON ICE: FINDING NEMO

Saturday morning we got up and went to see Disney On Ice: Finding Nemo! Didn't know if Travis would like it, but he had a good time! He gave me the play by play since he knew the movie! He was telling me exactly what was coming next. We took Aunt Stephanie, Rebekah, Rachel and Ruthie! Also our neighbors Jalene, Carson, Morgan, Mimi, Courtney and Finley went! Our other neighbor Bryan got some tickets from his work and shared the wealth! It was cool- Will be going again with the boys to other showings! Here are some pics! THANKSGIVING

How do you put into words everything you are thankful for? Thanks-an expression or feeling of gratitude. No way to sum up the thanks I feel for my family, my relatives, my friends and even those we are not close to on a daily basis. Everyone we have had contact with has had a hand in the things in our lives. 100% of the times in my life that I thought were bad, turned into things that I am thankful for! Love, Life, Joy...I could go on and on! Hopefully what I CAN NOT put into words shows every time you see me smile, every time you see me look at the people I love, every time you see me cry (not always a bad thing), every time you see a laugh, every time you see me hug or other symbols of caring, every time I pray for each and every one of all of you! SO with a big warm heart I say THANK YOU!!!!
